Working on Ergon and council projects. Mostly doing maintenance works for council facilities around the Mackay region. Completing mainly civil works for Ergon around central and North Queensland, working away when required, whether it was emerald for a week or the Torres Strait for 4 weeks at the end of 2024

Mainly working on a 3:1 roster around central Queensland with flexibility to work longer, I have done up to an 8:1 swing depending on what the job requires. Travelling wherever I’m needed from remote communities in the Northern Territory to far western Queensland. Doing a wide variety of carpentry and working in a team environment. Moving into a leading hand role, measuring and ordering materials, making sure projects are complete on time and on budget to high standard of workmanship.

• Plan and execute work with trade tools and materials to maximize productivity.
• Follow established job site safety regulations and maintain safe and clean work area.
• Organise project work by interpreting plans and specifications to determine optimal outcome.
• Scribe or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines and power saws.
• Install gib board, ceilings, trim and fabricate replacement trim and moldings.
• Construct custom door frames, hang doors, and install hardware, accessories, cubicle curtain tracks and TV brackets..
• Take off of required materials by accurate measurement of jobsite plans..
• Studied specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.

• Inspected work performed by carpentry crews to check completion of job specifications.
• Supervised teams of up to four employees, answering questions and providing feedback on work progress.
• Coordinated movement of materials and equipment to job sites, verifying supply readiness prior to project start.
• Kept accurate records of materials used, employee timesheets, client issues and accident reports.
• Addressed employee issues and conflicts, applying listening and communication skills to promote quick resolution.
• Assessed project size to prepare work orders and determine resources needed to complete jobs.
• Trained workers in proper methods, equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Operated required equipment on a daily basis.
• Sourced suppliers and purchased necessary materials for work.

• Kept job site cleaned up properly and all debris disposed of in respective containers.
