As the Business Group Leader, I am responsible to the Regional Management Group for the utilisation and project performance of their Business Group, achievement of revenue and growth targets, and approval and implementation of the business plan. The included:

• Manage Business Group performance, people, and resources
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, Project Directors and Project Managers.
• Work closely with Region Market Leaders to agree strong market sector alignment for the business plan
• Provide support to Operations Manager and Finance Manager at month end in regard to invoicing and forecasting for Project Directors within the Business Group
• Provide leadership to the Business Group in line with GHD's values and objectives
• Trained new team members by relaying information on company procedures and safety requirements.
• Monitored group performance on a regular basis, analyzing data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
• Established clear goals and expectations for the team, promoting accountability and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Supported staff with developing professional skills and abilities, uplifting team performance.

• Acted as the primary point of contact for Development Victoria, fostering a trusted partnership through consistent engagement and delivery excellence.
• Developed a deep understanding of client drivers and priorities, enabling tailored solutions and proactive identification of growth opportunities.
• Facilitated cross-functional collaboration across GHD teams to create seamless delivery and a unified client experience.

Full time from June 2021 to January 2022, role split from January 2022 to October 2022.

• Provide day to day supervision and coaching to the team in line with GHD's core values and strategy.
• Assist the Business Group Leader to secure, schedule and manage workload.
• Lead key proposals and assist with resource allocation.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with Industry networks and clients; Business Group Leaders; Project Directors and Project Managers; Market Leaders; Service Line Leaders and Business Service Leaders

• Understand client objectives, drivers and key decision makers involved in projects
• Understand market trends to identify potential project opportunities
• Build client relationships to facilitate winning work and gain insight into client expectations
• Monitor project financials to facilitate the best possible economic outcome
• Provide guidance during the preparation of proposals
• Brief, lead and work with project teams to achieve positive project outcomes
