I started a new profession in order to gain a qualification and to broaden my skill set. Within this role I did the following;

  • Worked under supervision of journeyman electrician to learn trade and develop electrical knowledge.
  • Terminated wiring and connected circuits with correct techniques.
  • Gained proficiency in operating various power tools such as drills, saws, crimpers, and wire strippers for efficient completion of electrical tasks.
  • Pulled EMT and PVC conduit wire according to plans and code requirements.
  • Understood and used proper tools and equipment to install and maintain electrical systems.

Sales Supervisor/Representative

Within this job role I started off as a sales representative. This involved selling car insurance and discussing premiums with customers. Many targets also had to be met such as selling breakdown cover, hire cars etc. Customer feedback was also a massive part of my job role which was given out at the end of each sale, this was then reflected on my bonuses.

I always exceeded my targets and went above and beyond for our customers. This then brought me into a supervisor role, where I supervised my own team of new starters on how to handle their sales and techniques to hit their targets. Within this job the skills I have come out of this are as followed;

  • Increased customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving client concerns efficiently.
  • Oversaw employee performance, corrected problems, and increased efficiency to maintain productivity targets.
  • Achieved sales targets consistently through regular monitoring of team performance and adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Handled escalated customer issues promptly, ensuring timely resolution and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Analyzed sales data to set quotas and assess potential areas of growth.
  • Worked jointly with team members to assist with closing sales, cross-selling and upselling of products and services.
