Assistant Barristers' Clerk

Frederick Jordan Chambers

This requires an in-depth knowledge of each barrister's practice, the type of work they accept, fees and their personal commitments. It also required a high level of trust between barristers and myself, allowing me to negotiate on their behalf and to recommend the most appropriate choice.
  • Administration Management - A key role of an assistant clerk includes being responsible for monthly accounts, invoicing and maintaining office stock.
  • IT support - I managed the chambers' website (hosted on WordPress), using my skills in Excel, Adobe and Microsoft to assist both Chambers and individual barristers with any technical issues that arise.
  • Staffing - I managed the day-to-day staffing of Frederick Jordan Chambers. Coordinating staffing arrangements for chambers' requirements with the junior staff's university schedules.
