Summary

I am a highly adaptable and reliable PGY 2 junior medical officer with a strong foundation in rural medicine and experience in providing after-hours medical care. Originally from New Zealand, I have spent many years living and volunteering in remote Australia including the Torres Strait Islands, Arnhem Land, and the Atherton Tablelands. I completed my medical school training at Toowoomba Rural Clinical School where I ***. I have also spent time studying abroad in France, Canada and Austria to gain exposure to diverse medical systems and *** learn languages. These experiences have shaped my key strengths of adaptability, inter-cultural communication and resilience.

While completing my internship with Canberra Health Services, I have sought out opportunities to ... This includes spending a dedicated rotation with the Department of Prevocational Education and Training. I also elected to complete a relief term to gain over 3 months of ward call experience where I regularly assessed and managed patients independently and escalated deteriorating patients as required. This allowed me to develop the clinical reasoning skills and confidence that underpin my delivery of safe and patient centre care.

With a proven commitment to team welfare and inter-disciplinary collaboration, I look forward to bringing my skills and experience to a locum JMO role.
