Summary
Registered Nurse currently working two roles at Sir Charles Gairdner hospital.
I work in Viral hepatology clinic .7 to advance my knowledge in chronic liver disease. This position was a great opportunity to see a different side of nursing which emphasises on "prevention is better then cure" as well as keeping patients out of hospital whilst they are still receiving expert care.
I also work .2 on G63, Nephrology, Hepatology, Gastroenterology, and General surgery. I have been a dedicated nurse here for 4 years and am extremely passionate about transplant and chronic kidney/ liver disease, I wanted to keep my clinical skills whilst upskilling my theory knowledge in hepatology clinic which is why I chose to work both roles.
I take pride in delivering person centred care in my practice, this is achieved through developing therapeutic relationships and listening to my patients. It is important to me to understand what aspects of care matter most to each patient so that I can provide the best clinical care.

- I completed my second part of my graduate program on the respiratory ward at Sir Charles Gardiner, on this ward I learnt a variety of skills and how to care for patients with respiratory illness.
- This job required me to learn a lot about different respiratory illnesses mainly COPD.
- A big part of my role in this job was patient education on how to best manage their illness so that they can be empowered to live as full as life as possible.
- It is very important to me to make sure patients goals are met when they come to hospital.
