  • Front Reception: Liaising with offenders by logging all Youth, CCS (Community Correctional Services) and CCO (Community Correction Order) cases on arival for their appointments, by checking the justice system and taking all relevant paperwork needed to assist the case worker. Assisting general public with enquiries, by helping with the relevant information needed, giving them the right point of contact or if they needed assistance with a department needed for their concern.
  • BDM: We are a lodgement centre for Birth, Death and Marriages. Assisting customers with the correct supporting ID points are covered for their application, uploading onto the Birth, Death and Marriages RIO system to be verified. This also involved statutory declarations and other documnets to be verified (VPS2) to support their applications. Liaise with Birth, Death and Marriages on all general queries to help on other applications. Taking payments and receipting these accordingly .
  • Reception: Logging and directing all calls to the relevant department and case worker, logging messages and directing them through promptly.
  • General background assistance: Upon request I organised mobile phones and phone credits for offenders, which were directed by the case worker on approval. I also organised security passes for new staff. Organised offenders files received from other offices in the region by documenting and adding notes on the justice system this also included organising other files to be released to other offices.
  • General banking when required, daily mail and retrieving DX mail each morning and taking it down for collection.

  • Reception: I was assisting customers and directing them to the correct department and helping them with their enquiries, occasionally rectifying customer disputes to achieve a positive outcome always with a professional and pleasant manner with the best of my knowledge. Assisting suppliers with deliveries to our warehouse, with all missing items so a positive outcome could be resolved for the department and customers in a timely manner.
  • I was responsible for distributing emails and invoices to the department creditors and store managers, importing reports for daily operation to cross check invoices and approving for payment. I also worked closely with my department service administrator on credit claims raised for damaged items and stock returned, maintaining all information was correct and raised correctly before adjusting stock and applying credit notes.
  • On occasions I would have to investigate and rectify missing items and deliveries with our offsite warehouse and other transport companies that would deliver from other stores and suppliers across Australia, maintaining all paperwork and information of those deliveries were correct and all items received so invoices could be approved for payment.
  • I worked closely and assisted my manager and other team memebers with month end procedures, I have always held a great relationship with my other team memebrs with support so we could finish within deadlines. I also helped prepare for my departments stocktake to make sure all stock, invoices, credit claims were up to date and received prior to stocktake.
  • On other occasions I would assist with daily banking when required: this involved collecting the float bags from the safe each morning ready for the department to collect, as well as counting money for til clearance when large amounts were paid in cash. In the absence of team members, I would do the banking ready to be collected by the banking security.

  • I enjoyed my time at Harvey Norman for the 4 years I was there, in this time I was able to further my skills in customer services and administration to learn otrher aspects of how a store operates, be apart of a team that helped to achieve and deliver the operation behind the scenes.
