As well as being awarded multiple awards for my sporting accolades I have been a volunteer coach, competitive player and loyal member of both seniors and juniors in netball and basketball. I have coached A & B Grade teams and juniors at the Ararat Football Netball Club for over 30 years. I have also coached junior basketball squads for the Ararat Redbacks Basketball as well as been an assistant for the Ballarat Miners Under 16 Boys Junior Representative Team. All of these appointments have meant lots of accreditation, planning, coordinating and travelling. I am very invested in my health and enjoy running and attending a local gym for group fitness classes. Summer holidays are filled with lots of boating as this is how we bring our family together. We have been doing this since my childhood. I also teach VCE Food Studies and Health & Human Development and enjoy reading books/papers/articles about food science, health, agricultural methods and sustainability.
