Travelled for 5 months around Africa doing the following volunteer placements:

• Animal care at Lemuria Land, a lemur sanctuary in Madagascar for 4 weeks.
• Assisted a vet for 4 weeks in Tanzania. Caring for and treating pets, wildlife and livestock animals. I also cared forward trained the many dogs and cats at the shelter.
• 2 weeks conservation internship at Kwantu game reserve, South Africa.
• 2 weeks caring for primates at Lybomi Wildlife rescue, South Africa.

• Managed and promoted my successful business by myself to gain over 50 clients.
• Implemented positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behavior and manage reactivity and other behavioural issues during walks
• Ensured dogs' safety and well-being through attentive supervision during walks.
• Streamlined invoicing process using digital platforms which improved efficiency.
• Demonstrated responsibility by ensuring dogs were properly leashed, collared, and secured during walks.
• Handled various breeds of dogs with different temperaments, adapting to their individual needs and preferences.
• Built strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and confidence in my services.

I cared for a variety of British wildlife though the stages of the rehabilitation process, these duties included:

• Cleaning cages and pens thoroughly to prevent spread of diseases.
• Feeding animals, ensuring each animal gets fed to their specific dietary needs.
• Releasing animals back to the wild
• Monitoring the health and wellbeing of the animals by ensuring they are eating enough, gaining or maintaining weight, practicing natural behaviours and monitoring injuries and illness symptoms
• Assisting the veterinary staff with medicating and other veterinary procedures.
