Whilst working at Grovely State School as a teacher aide I have gained the opportunity to support and lead children in an efficient classroom manner. I work closely with children that have additional needs to ensure they feel comfortable and safe within the classroom environment. Whilst working one on one with students I also assist with classroom preparations, management and skill building. By demonstrating these initiatives it has given me the opportunity to work collaboratively with fellow educators to enhance students’ engagement.

In my role, I created a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where children felt comfortable, valued and encouraged to learn. I planed and delivered engaging, play-based learning experiences that supported each child’s individual development and interests. Built positive relationships with children and their families, promoting confidence, social skills, and emotional wellbeing. Regularly, observed, documented , and monitored children’s development progress , using these observations to support their learning and communicate with families.

In my role as a support worker I provided consistent emotional, physical, and medical support. While building a strong trusting relationship with my client through patience, empathy, and clear communication. My daily responsibilities included ensuring my client was prepared and ready for school, supporting punctual attendance at appointments, and assisting during therapy sessions. Throughout my role, I focused on maintaining dignity, comfort, and a safe supportive environment while promoting wellbeing and routine.

Working as a shift runner at Dominos allowed me to strengthen a wide range of skills, including leadership, time management, and problem solving in a fast paced environment. I was responsible for maintaining high service standards by monitoring customer satisfaction and supporting team performance throughout each shift. Through regular interactions with customers and colleagues, I developed strong communication and interpersonal skills, built effective working relationships, and gained experience managing priorities, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
