A Not for Profit 74 year old legacy: The Association of Queensland Nursing and Midwifery Leaders (AQNML) is the peak organisation for nursing and midwifery leadership in Queensland, that is focussed on the support, development, advocacy and influencing of policy for health care excellence.

• Optimised budget management through careful monitoring and improvement of expenses particularly labour costs, negotiating contracts with vendors, and securing CAPEX funding for expansion of services, prosthetics management, VMP operating list rationalisation initiatives, leave balances including work cover oversight.
• Boosted employee morale through improvement in attraction and retention by building stability and trust within the Perioperative units and leading a highly motivated and dedicated team of Managers with a shared vision and ensuring to role model company values and advocate for staff.
• Implemented quality improvement initiatives that led to enhanced patient safety measures and reduced risk of adverse events.
• Collaborated with executive leadership in strategic planning efforts to drive organisational success within the competitive Perioperative healthcare landscape by significantly improving Theatre utilisation across specialties and meeting as well as maintaining KPI's and growth targets.

• Senior clinician and manager accountable for leading, directing and overseeing the nursing,midwifery and interdisciplinary services facilitating positive patient outcomes and experience within a rural generalist model of care to contribute to strategic and operational KPIs and governance with 7 Clinical areas of responsibility: Maternity, ED, General Acute (paediatrics, coronary care, palliative, rehabilitation, medical, surgical, gerontology, mental health), Specialist outpatients, Renal unit(haemodialysis), Tele-chemotherapy.
• Contributed to budget forecasting, reporting, management and shared accountability for the nursing and midwifery workforce to ensure all cost centres are sufficiently resourced to deliver safe and quality patient care as well meet service expectations.
• Implemented and Evaluated established procedures and systems to ensure the provision of quality safe health care delivery in alignment with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and DDHHS Policies.
