Summary

GEMS Team Leader Training Phase 1. Helped organise and fundraise for inaugural WIS Year 11 Prom including fundraising. English, Music & PSHE – I started my employment at Wellington as the Secondary music teacher for a three-month period. I developed student centred schemes of work for years 7- 11 using a peer mentoring approach to create real-world tasks. As I have no musical experience, I had to take a creative approach to teaching and consider this a very positive introduction to teaching at an international school. My role also entailed teaching Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE) to all year groups. I love the ethos behind PSHE and likened it to my experience using the productive pedagogies during my training in Queensland Australia. Work History – first career (Australia, before 2002) Business Development Manager Geographic Information Systems company Administration Manager Commercial Training Company Marketing Co-ordinator Meat Market Craft Centre Public Relations – Local Government Thuringowa City Council Professional Development, Qualifications & Career Highlights
