Rates Specialist

My role in the Rates Department is to advise consultants on Fair Work guidelines and review pay rates and conditions to ensure they meet Award standards across multiple awards and industries

  • Database audits – payrates, condition
  • Liaise with Fair Work Australia regarding award conditions
  • Ensure candidates are being paid correct rates and correct conditions based on their Award
  • Working knowledge of numerous Awards
  • Building rate calculators based on award conditions
  • Annual Fair Work update of whole database rates, including WIC increase, super increase and Fair Work increase
  • Integration between recruitment system Bullhorn and payroll system Astute, as well as client timesheet systems
  • Review of Max Hire contracts
  • Review and sign off for processing payroll pay items in before payroll
  • Build pay libraries in Astute
  • Create timesheet uploads based in individual client pay conditions
  • Follow up timesheets to avoid missed pays
  • Find solutions to pay queries – incorrect rates, incorrect loading/penalties, incorrect interpretation of award
