  • My role at the Tivoli varies from running shows, liaising with Tour Managers, performers, production and managing venue staff plus assisting the sister venue, are all a part of my operations based position. I am responsible for scheduling (staff, security and cleaning), costing and quoting artist riders, completing financials for each event, executing functions with run sheets, nightly briefs and reports. I also place the weekly ordering according to ticket sales and forecast sales and drive specials. We can cater up to 1600 punters at one time and host some of the best performances in Brisbane. Before being promoted to VM, I was responsible for the main bar during service, multi serving, opening and closing the bar and of course RSA.

  • Erected in 1891 the OMB, formally the Queensland Museum, host’s different events from comedy shows, soloist’s, bands, cinema, gigs and large functions. The building is home to the Queensland Youth Orchestra with the predominate use of the space being for orchestra rehearsals and performances. Part of my responsibilities were to host Weddings, Corporate Events, Orchestra Performances over the multi faceted venue. I left to pursue more responsibility at the Tivoli.

The cinema now holds a full, permanent in cinema license for adults to indulge while enjoying a film. I won this battle after much correspondence and negotiations with OLGR.

  • The Tank Hotel was a small busy lunch spot in the heart of the CBD. On a weekly basis we served up to 1000 people their lunch and closed on the weekends, outside of minimal TAB required trading hours. It was my mission to generate more revenue with original ideas whilst working to a strict budget. The Tank is now known as Brooklyn Standard.
