I am a motivated and adaptable individual currently taking a gap year while pursuing studies. Experienced in customer service and child care, having worked in both before and afterschool care programs as well as at Woolworths and Taco Bell. Strong communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a reliable work ethic, with a proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. I have my Working with Children Check, First Aid & updated police clearance.
In my rewarding role with children, I create enjoyable activities, ensure a safe and cozy environment, and build heartwarming connections. My friendly approach, adaptability, and grasp of child development make each day a joyous adventure.
At Woolworths, I dealt with different kinds of customers daily. This job has helped me improve my customer service skills as well as verbal communication in general. I've learnt and gained a lot of interpersonal as well as teamwork skills which I can now implement into future employments.
As a team member, I was constantly dealing with customers and solving out any issues or misunderstanding. This has helped me grow confidence with speaking to strangers and quick/practical thinking.
I started a chair rental business in December 2020 at the age of fifteen, initially offering white Americana chairs. As the business generated income, I reinvested to expand my inventory. While I no longer manage the business, it’s continuing to thrive under my parents’ management. This reflects my entrepreneurial mindset and ability to turn an idea into a successful venture at a young age.
I volunteered with the Organization of African Communities (OAC), where I assisted with various events hosted by members of the African community. This role allowed me to develop a diverse set of skills, as each event required different types of support and coordination.
