Professional work experiences have also involved Pasifika, and wider New Zealand communities through service. These services have been in Ōtepoti (Dunedin) Otago, Ōtautahi (Christchurch) Canterbury, and Tāmaki Makarau (Auckland) through academic, government and journalism roles.

Taking initiative and valuing the relationships forged professionally.

Strongly well versed with professional databases acquired through academic and government work. Adequate literacy and numeracy skills attained through different student support roles, civil servant roles for New Zealand government, and also through a year in a New Zealand journalism cadetship.

Many other skills have also been acquired through academic study (Otago Polytechnic) and professional training with New Zealand School of Tourism.

Fluent speaker of both English and Fijian including writing skills. I believe being bilingual has proven to help enhance ways of connecting with people and understanding different cultural perspectives.
