Project Manager (Group Parts Logistics Support Specialist)

Volkswagen Group Australia (Contract to AutoNexus)
03.2016 - 11.2018
  • At Volkswagen Group Australia (VGA) I acted as a B2B customer service operative in the spare parts
department. Supporting a professional dealer network of over 100 locations, I worked under time pressure to respond to any and all freight and logistics queries, investigated credit claims and freight issues, and completed KPI reporting on warehouse operations. In this role, quick thinking, decision making, conflict resolution and adaptability are key to the successful contribution to the high performing team. During my time at VGA I was tasked with managing a complex, multi-faceted compliance project. The project was highly confidential, and impacted many aspects of the wider business. As the project lead it was my responsibility to manage expectations of business, ensuring all deadlines are met, thorough checking and compliance standards were met, whilst ensuring my team remained
    productive.
    • Established strong relationships with various stakeholders across all departments within VGA, government departments, subject matter experts, international colleagues and members of the dealer network (Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda dealers Nationally).
    • Generated and established various reports and reporting tools to identify issues, trends and patterns for management.
    • As the appointed Quality Champion for the Aftersales department (largest department in the business), I have developed process documents and work instructions for all aspects of the part sales, pricing and logistics business.
    • Managing direct reports, providing training, delegating tasks and support development. Engaging stakeholders to identify the needs of various parties, ultimately creating processes, opportunities, training and development, or events to suit the needs of multiple participants.

The Sydney based team utilise qualified plumbers to coordinate and manage all works carried out in the Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong region; the rest of NSW and the ACT were my responsibility.
  • In collaboration with my operations assistant, we would manage regional services from establishing a work order, and detailing information about the job on a work order, to paying our subcontractors and invoicing the clients. As the sites are remote, this was a complex role, within an incredibly fast paced environment.
  • I ended my time at Atlantic Plumbing Services to explore avenues allowing for career development and an inclusive workplace culture.
