• Maintenance of mechanical components and segments such as gear boxes, bearings, grease systems, and cooling systems.

• Working with drawings, plans, specifications, and blueprints to fit, assemble, and shape machinery and parts/other equipment.

• Working on continuous casting machines.

• Stripping, fitting, and overhauling mechanical components.

• Cutting, grinding, welding, and shaping metal and other materials.

• Keeping records of operations, safety, and maintenance procedures.

• Using hand tools and engineering measuring equipment.

• Operating plant and equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists.

• Dogging by slinging and guiding loads handled correctly by cranes.

• Regularly working on-site where required.

• Securely attach loads to rigging equipment using clamps, shackles, and other fasteners.
• Inspect rigging equipment for any visible damage or defects prior to use.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed while setting up and operating rigging systems.
• Safely disassemble rigging equipment when no longer needed for a production or performance.
• General laboring duties.
• Operating multiple types of forklift trucks.
