- Barangaroo project for Bauer/AFS joint venture piling works as a crane operator - operating a 130 tonne Sumitomo crawler crane;
- Baulderstone, Port Botany Expansion Project May 2008 worked on the Port Botany expansion project as a Crane operator. During this time I’ve spent 4 months with the marine division working from an Ausbarge L137 and the rest of this time operating a sumitomo SC 150 tonne crawler crane;
- The work involved driving steel piles to establish shipping lanes and placing 150 metres of sheet piles. An ice vibrator and Juntan hydraulic drop hammer was used for both;
- I was also involved in removing 3000 cubic meters of sand with a clam bucket;
- I then moved on to the precast concrete section operating a Sumitomo SCX 250 crawler crane where the 650 tonne counter fort block were constructed. We placed and removed stutters that weighed between 23-50 tone;
- The site was a difficult environment to work in with a lampsons 300 tonne ringer in the middle and 4 additional crawlers around the outside servicing the project;
- I operated a sumitomo SCX 280 tonne on this project for the marine division, placing scour rock with a grab on the seabed using a trimble navigation to pinpoint the exact location.
