The company underwent a restructure with two new groups being created, cost engineering and design. I was promoted to manager of Cost Engineering group and grew the team from originally 2 staff to 14. The group was originally in the Nowra Office and I was responsible for opening a new office in Parramatta and staffing the office. The group was responsible for:

· Preparation of cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle;

• Risk analysis and management
• Preparation and review of tender documentation
• Constructability reviews.

My duties included:

• Client Liaison
• BD and preparation of proposals
• Preparation and internal reviews of estimates
• Preparation and review of tender documentation
• Constructability reviews
• Management of the group including annual budgets, reporting to CEO, profitability etc

ESecondment to RTA (TfNSW) as Contract Engineer to work on the design development and site supervision for the Liverpool Parramatta Transitway Package C

Duties included:

• Design development including management of internal RTA design resources;
• Liaising with internal (RTA) stakeholders such as survey group, property group etc
• Arranging subcontracts for the development of utility adjustment designs
• Acting as Superintendent’s Representative during construction
