  • Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices

  • Since starting at Tenderlink I have made the following changes to the network:
  • Upgrade domain to 2008 R2 with 2 new DC’s and decommissioned old DC’s
  • Move DHCP database
  • Setup new DNS servers
  • WSUS server installed and automated Windows updates across the domain
  • Clean up AD
  • Clean up Group Policy
  • Install Print servers
  • Setup Sophos on all PC’s and make sure all PC’s are updated
  • Install Exchange 2010 and migrate all mailboxes from Keriomail
  • Rolled out new 2008 R2 servers for development team
  • Moved file repository and decommissioned old File server
  • Managed Software audit and got Tenderlink Microsoft compliant
  • Setup a backup schedule for all server using Shadow Protect
  • Designed a Disaster Recovery plan
  • Managed the Sysprep and deploy of 40 new PC’s to NP and Australian offices
  • Setup VMWare vCenter Server and consolidate management of VM hosts
  • Travelled to Australia to deploy Win7 and Office 2010

  • I have been employed by Staples Rodway Taranaki as a Systems Administrator in their Business Computing Services department from October 2007 to September 2011 being responsible for all in-house IT infrastructure supporting 100 people across 2 remote sites
  • I looked after a range of physical HP and virtualised VMware servers ranging from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 R2 and desktops from Windows XP to Windows 7
  • My job entailed working with Terminal servers, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, IP addressing, Exchange 2007
  • BES Server, Sharepoint, SQL databases and backups with Backup exec and Shadow Protect, HP SANs
  • I have at times been on-site at some of Staples Rodway’s larger clients providing support - one of which is Methanex where for 6 months I was on the project team for a VOIP phone upgrade, and a server migration of 35 servers between two remote sites
  • My role at Staples Rodway involved the standard break-fix work, but also being pro-active in identifying issues and bottlenecks in the network and suggesting to management resolutions to these
