Work History

A-Grade Electrician

C2O Group
01.2024 - 01.2025

An opportunity presented itself near the beginning of 2024 which I found work with C2O Group.

  • Trivantage - Work for C2O started at Trivantage switchboard manufacturers in Thomastown, which consisted of busbar, control wiring and general assembly of HV equipment.
  • Data Centre - I was then transitioned to Mel07 Data centre. Tasked working with Siemens on completing punch list rectification works before again being transitioned to the West Gate Tunnel Project.
  • West Gate Tunnel - The previous 15 months at WGTP saw out my time with C2O as the project nearing an end and my position becoming redundant.

Work on the WGTP over this timeframe meant I was fortunate enough to be exposed on many elements of the job both on the surface and within the tunnel. Being tasked with cable containment including strut and tray install, seismic bracing, conduit install, lengthy power and ITS cable pulls , underslung road lighting install and fit off, feature lighting install, testing and fit off, labelling and documentation there-of.

Business Owner

Electrical Sub-Contracting / Business Owner
01.2021 - 01.2023

This period of my working career brought to me the reward of starting and successfully running my own Electrical company.

  • The majority of works as a sole trader have been general domestic installations, repairs and upgrades. Including renovations, Consumer Mains upgrades, Full House rewires and Underground Works.
  • During this time there would be occasions of where work would slow down and I would resort to sub-contractor work. Of which I found on commercial projects ie; schools and hospitals , where daily electrical tasks would involve light and power rough in and fit off, daily wiring, catenary work, cable tray installations, data, and temporary power.

A-grade Electrician

Titanium Electrical
01.2018 - 01.2021

Titanium Electrical is a small-medium sized company located in Kensington.

  • My role at Titanium as an electrician expanded also into the office as part of the job requirements, involving quoting, payment collection and processing, on-call work and seeing jobs through from start to finish.
  • I learnt plenty at Titanium, in particular dealing with customers first hand and the responsibility of attending a site, completing works and immediately following up with work report and payment procedures.
  • After hours On-call work would be rostered out once every 4 weeks. Being on-call 7 days each month. It involved answering to any after hour’s on-call service works required.
  • Scope of works at Titanium have included domestic small job call-outs, renovations, Thermal Imaging (hospitals), Test and Tagging, Air-conditioner installs, Switchboard and Mains Upgrades, Data, Commercial Maintenance and fit-outs. (Hotels, schools, hospitals, building maintenance, offices), Hazardous Area work installations.

A-Grade sub-contractor

First Electrical
01.2013 - 01.2016

Commenced employment with First Electrical in February 2013.

I enjoyed gaining more knowledge and skills within this company. My everyday duties mainly consisted of renovations and electrical completion of city unit blocks and hotels, as well as only the occasional domestic installation.

During my employment here I developed a high understanding of the importance of all safety requirements in the electrical industry and always completing a task to the best of my ability.

I also experienced the need for patience, accountability, compromise and teamwork. These key features are what I have discovered to be essential when working on large jobsites.

Workload slowed down at this company which therefore meant I had to move on to find work elsewhere.

  • Electrical completion of apartment building 118 Ireland St, West Melbourne. The Railway Hotel converted into 29 apartments, with Wine Bar, storage area, and rooftop. Electrical wiring consisted of light, power, Fire Systems, Foxtel, Phone, Data. A/C Supply, temp power and ultimately fitting off all accessories and switchboards. Roughing in also involved wall chasing, exposed conduit work and attention to cable separation, tidiness, and distinctive labelling and positioning. I learnt a lot more on how to manage working alongside all trades.
  • Renovation of multiple hotel rooms at The Rydges Hotel on Swanston St, Carlton. Consisted of rewiring rooms and making everything electrically safe before fit-off and testing. Rewire involved chasing rendered walls for relocation of electrical accessories, and terminating unused cables.
  • Relocation of business into large factory. Involved industrial factory rough in and fit-out as well as disconnection and reconnection of large machinery.

A respectful and trusted relationship was formed, which has led to ongoing occasional work when required.

Apprentice Electrician

AJP Electrics
01.2009 - 01.2012
  • After completing my Electrical Pre-App studies, I began my Electrical Apprenticeship at AJP Electrics. Involved in regular maintenance jobs, occasional domestic jobs, Commercial rough-in and fit off, occasional data work using Cat5 cable and RJ45 fit-offs, Split A/C installation/maintenance and larger jobs involving underground mains supply, multiple story infrastructures and Industrial factories.
  • Weekly Maintenance and various electrical jobs at Victoria University and Overnewton Anglican Community College. Including Testing and Tagging.
  • Electrical completion of new Basketball Stadium at Overnewton College, Taylors Lakes Campus.
  • Electrical completion of new multiple story Junior School building at Overnewton College, Keilor Campus.
  • Electrical completion (underground supply) of the new location of Hume Anglican School, at the peak of Mt. Ridley, Mickleham. Trench digging, laying conduit and pits, pulling in of mains cable with winch assistance.
