To provide support to children experiencing domestic violence and are a unique culturally appropriate service to address and reduce family violence and improve the safety of women and children in the home.
DUTIES:
▪ Develop safety plan for the children with the children’s input.

▪ Collaborate and advocate with other services to support children’s needs.

DUTIES:
▪ Working with teachers in the implementation of Aboriginal Cultural Studies and Aboriginal perspectives in curriculum design and delivery.
▪ Administrative functions such as record keeping, reporting writing and maintaining files and information on Aboriginal students.
▪ Contributing to site learning plans and individual learning plans to improve Aboriginal student social development, wellbeing and learning.
▪ Helping teaching staff develop and maintain relationships with Aboriginal students, parents and families.
▪ Providing advice on the cultural diversity of Aboriginal groups.
RESPONSILIBITIES:
Indigenous Support Coordinators provides one-on-one ongoing support for up to 12 months, including attending appointments with you for support where required. Also assist in developing a plan which will include relevant services to engage with to overcome identified issues.Domestic & Family Violence, Criminal Justice, Drug, Alcohol or Substance Abuse
