Specialising in government contacts, delivering ArcGIS solutions to government clients: ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise and AGOL deployments and upgrades, managed services, driving improvements in spatial infrastructure, system optimisation, and providing technical leadership in delivering future-ready geospatial solutions.

Key roles include:

• Lead GIS Administrator for the Digital Atlas of Australia (DAA) & Geoinformation Delivery Platform (GDP): Multiple ArcGIS Enterprise and AGOL environments, hosted by Geoscience Australia.
• Lead technical support for Great Barrier Reef Marine Protection Authority (GBRMPA).

• Spatial administration & implementation
• Map production & management
• Architectural drafting

• Design, administration and maintenance of GIS databases and database processes - Oracle and SQL
• Design and management of FME Flow instances & FME Form workbenches.
• Configuration, development and maintenance of Council’s GIS Applications – TechOne Spatial / IntraMaps, AutoCAD Map 3D, Munsys, Enlighten, QGIS and other GIS related software Trimble Pathfinder Office, WaterCAD, MapInfo and Global Mapper.
• Identify and analyse business requirements and process improvements related to the use of Council GIS systems.
• Manage the provision of training for end users across Council.
• Maintain strict compliance of data agreements and MOU with internal and external stakeholders / users.
• Leadership and supervision of GIS team.
• Duties as outlined below for the position of GIS Co-Ordinator / Officer.

• Administration, development and testing of the GIS Application – Autodesk Topobase (client and web interface), MapGuide Studio, FME and other GIS related software specific to MidCoast Water.
• Development and administration of the integration links between MidCoast Water Asset Information System, Record/ Document Management System, Corporate Property System and Drawing Management System.
• Leadership and supervision of GIS team.
• Development and implementation of 2010 GIS Strategy and management of GIS budget.
• Organisation of the supply of sequel aerial photography for MidCoast Water’s Major Projects. Bootawa Dam: Water Treatment plant (multi-million dollar project).
• Analysis and bulk input of the Gloucester sewer and water schemes - due to governmental amalgamation.
• Involved with the GIS legislative requirements, including hotspot mapping (fibre optic cables), and the GIS map disclaimer, intellectual property and the supply / ownership of dataset and imagery.
• Duties as outlined below for the position of GIS Officer.

• Maintaining and developing an accurate GIS, including the analysis of geospatial database / information.
• The use of a range of different GIS applications: - Autodesk Topobase Web and Client - AutoCAD Munsys - used in conjunction with AutoCAD Civil and Map 3D - Enlighten (front end web application) - MapInfo - ESRI’s ArcGIS.
• The use of a range of other software applications: - Asset Information System, Property Information System, Records Management System, Radius Studio (Data Compliance Software), WaterCAD (Water Distribution Modelling and Management System), Trimble GPS and Pathfinder Office Software.
• Ongoing support and testing of web-based GIS applications: Topobase Web/ Client, WaterCAD and Radius Studio.
• Work As Executed (WAE) input (internal and external), work order renewals, cartographic map production.
• The development of quality-based reports, general office and management support duties.
• Field data capture including GPS (Trimble) and Asset investigation work (Wincan).
• Work closely in a team environment with other departments including: Asset Management, Design and Construction, Information Technology, and Operations.
• Working and liaising with other Local Government Authorities including the Department of Lands (NSW), surrounding Council’s and other Water Utilities.
• Team member responsible for the management, development and implementation of Radius Studio – data compliance software developed by 1Spatial UK company.
• Part of team involved with the mapping of ‘survey cadastre’ and the development of a MOU with the Department of Lands (NSW) in regard to the sharing of this information.
• Part of team involved with the implementation and maintenance of the Quality and Quantity program – improving the quality of asset information available.
• Part of the team involved with the development of the MidCoast Water GIS Strategy 2006 – 2010.
• MidCoast Water representative and delegate at several GIS conferences: GITA 2008 – Sydney, Spatially Enabled Government Summit 2008 – Canberra, 1Spatial 2008 – Stanford, UK, Open Spatial Conference 2007 – Sydney.
• MidCoast Water Workplace Consultative & OHS Committee representative Feb 2008 – May 2009.
