  • Leadership of 20 team members working across the across the education, wellbeing and student experience digital ecosystem and responsible for:
  • the maintenance and support of approximately 120 in-house developed and SaaS solutions,
  • delivery of strategic projects in collaboration with divisional and faculty stakeholders,
  • identification and delivery of small to medium sized initiatives to meet niche educational needs across divisions and faculties.
  • Relationship management on behalf of IT with key stakeholders across the Division of Education and Student Experience, Lifelong Learning business unit and all 7 Faculties including contributing to the formation and execution of divisional technology roadmaps.
  • Identification and mitigation of enterprise risks associated with the education technology ecosystem as well as assurance all applications are compliant with UNSW Cyber Security standards.
  • Management of a $6M budget inclusive of enterprise licencing for education systems and associated vendor management.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Established the Education Solutions team as a trusted strategic technology partner, rebuilding stakeholder confidence through deep engagement and consistent delivery of value-aligned solutions.
  • Co-created a university-wide education technology governance framework, fostering strategic alignment, transparency, and cross-functional collaboration across faculties and divisions.
  • Led critical initiatives to mitigate cyber security risks and reduce technical debt, streamlining core education systems and simplifying the application landscape for improved operational efficiency.
  • Acted as Director of Student, Education and Research Solutions on 6 occasions for a total of 15 weeks, including membership of the IT Executive Team.
