Summary

Conscientious, driven and passionate about supporting people with disabilities, both mental and physical and ensuring their rights to live a full and empowered life, motivated to be their very best version of themselves.

Working in the industry back in the late 1990's with youth on the streets and the Dept of Community Services as a foster carer and court directed carer allowed me to gather experience across many fields in the disability and community sectors.

I have been working back in the disability support sector again now for approximately 7 years and felt the need to start out on my own due to working for large companies and seeing many clients not being heard or being respectfully treated as we would all like and deserve to be treated. I take great pride in my own business and in my work ethics, problem solving ability and mutually agreed and attributed outcomes and results. I feel my strongest attributes are in relation to my excellent communication skills when respecting and dealing with a wide diversity of people, facts, needs and outcomes. I will give my clients and families my time and determination to help empower them to lead a healthy, balanced and happy life, full of choices. My previous experience in SIL and flexi roles in fast paced, physical, and challenging environments, has made me capable of managing several people in most situations, problem solving on prompt and manage time accordingly. I have many years’ experiences in challenging, behavioural conditions, Complex mental health conditions, Intellectual disability, chronic immune and rare genetic conditions, Vision impairment, dysphagia and nonverbal conditions. These include but are not limited to: autism, ADHD, ADD, complex mental health issues, epilepsy, schizophrenia and paranoid schizophrenia, PTSD, depression and anxiety and diabetes 1 and 2 stages and aged care. Drug and alcohol dependency and abuse. Palliative care Collaborative leader with dedication to partnering with coworkers to promote engaged, empowering work culture. Documented strengths in building and maintaining relationships with diverse range of stakeholders in dynamic, fast-paced settings.

I am in the auditing stage of my NDIS provider and will soon be a provider in my own right.

I am looking to link with other providers and industry professionals including coordinator's of supports.

I have experience from newborns to 98 years of age.
