Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervising children within the facility as well as during outdoor playtime.
• Assisting children in their activities, including educational and artistic projects.
• Supervising and assisting children during meals and snack time.
• Paying attention to a child's emotional state and development, reporting concerns to immediate supervisor or manager.
• Maintain a fun and educational environment for children under my care, working closely with teachers to develop engaging activities.
• Resolve conflicts between children. Carefully observes the children to spot arguments as they arise. Mediate conflicts between children, teaching them to compromise and treat each other with respect. In case of hurt feelings, I also comfort hurt or upset children and de-escalate temper tantrums.
• Maintain a sanitary environment after activities or mealtimes. Responsible for cleaning up messes and organizing materials for the next program. Also responsible for monitoring each child's personal hygiene by changing dirty or soiled clothing as needed; in the case of younger or children with special needs, changing diapers or assisting with using the toilet.
