Summary

I am a proud Gomeroi woman via my fathers family with long history in northwestern NSW. I am a person with Disability and I understand and fully support the concepts and practices related to ethics, diversity and cultural safety. My aim is to make my fulltime career in Arts (Literature) focusing on Diversity and Inclusion, including Writers with Disability and Women and Children Writers, guided by First Nations ways of Knowing, Being and Doing, and the concepts of One Health and One Welfare.

My academic background is in science and medicine. I have received acclaim for my course design and teaching, including several prestigious teaching awards. My commitment to lifelong learning is evidenced by successful completion of a wide range of professional development opportunities. I have extensive experience in designing and facilitating creative writing workshops as well as decades of experience in teaching scientific and academic writing and editing. My significant body of work in creative writing includes short stories and poetry, some of which are published in anthologies and been awarded prizes. My studies and experience in Life Coaching have assisted me in working and communicating effectively with stakeholders and managing diverse teams of people.
