Compliance Officer

  • Conduct investigations, inspections and assessments of compliance concerns in accordance with relevant legislation, including but not limited to the Building Act 2011, Building Regulations 2012, the City’s District Planning Scheme No.2, Planning & Development Act 2005, Local Government Act and the City’s Private Property Local Laws
  • Undertake assessments and ensure compliance in accordance with regulatory requirements, policies and organisational objectives
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to produce satisfactory compliant outcomes using advanced customer service and communication skills
  • Recommend Legal Action when required and assist in the preparation of Legal Documents and attending S.A.T
  • And Magistrates Court to represent the City in conjunction with City and external lawyers

  • Exercise a duty of care in line with City Occupational Safety and Health policies
  • Maintain relevant registers, databases and systems, ensuring that information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible as required, meeting legislative requirements
