I would like to be considered for the Position of Experienced Mining Operator within the Production team, with the New Hope Group at Bengalla Coal.

I have been operating Dump Trucks and Water Carts at various mines in the Hunter Valley for the past 14 years and am a current appointed Trainer Assessor at Mt Arthur Coal. I have been a Truck Trainer since 2018 and hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. I believe that I have all of the attributes required by the New Hope Group to become a valued member of your Production team. My Operational and Safety records are of an Excellent Standard and I work in well with my Supervisors and Dispatcher's in order to keep Production delays to a minimum and instil these ethics into the trainees that I work with. Digger Operators on my Shifts will confirm that I am a very capable truck operator. I take pride in the work that I do and conduct myself in a manner that earns the respect of my colleagues. I am of an easy going nature and am often sought out to assist others' with any operational issues that they may have.

Accomplishments

  • Achieved Competency Improvements by explaining how to carry out tasks correctly, why we carry out the tasks the way that we do which led to improved accuracy and efficiency by operators' spotting under loading unit.
  • Documented and resolved Training and Assessment Criteria which led to a greater understanding of processes by those being trained which led to more proficient operators' out in the field.
  • Supervised team of 60 staff members when in charge of a Correctional Centre which housed between 400 - 450 inmates as the Night Senior in Charge of the Prison.
  • Co-ordinated a Program where 25 inmates were chosen to attend Aboriginal Rugby League Knock Out participation representing NSW Corrective Services in the Indiginous Community. This involved all aspects including transport, accommodation and meals in the community as well as organising educational programs that inmates had to complete in order to be eligible.
