Since starting at Feast on Fruit, it has further pushed me to learn and utilize my skills and responsibilities as a Deli Assistant. These skills and responsibilities include:

• Assisted customers with product selection and inquiries, enhancing overall shopping experience.
• Prepared deli items according to customer specifications, ensuring quality and freshness.
• Operated slicing equipment and scales accurately for precise portioning of meats and cheeses.
• Maintained cleanliness and organization of deli area, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Collaborated with team members to optimize workflow during peak hours, improving service efficiency.
• Trained new staff on food handling procedures and customer service best practices.
• Developed daily inventory checks to ensure stock levels met demand without overstocking waste.

In addition, working in the Delicatessen has taught me all about proper PPE, food health and safety and further enriching my skills in customer and food service. These skills have been essential to my Certificate III Business, which took place during my employment at IGA. In addition to this, I also practiced the following:

• Although my employment at Coles was brief, it has further engaged my experience and knowledge on preparation and health and safety when managing fresh foods. Skills I have gained include PPE, using a slicer, food handling and preparation.

• Working at Kmart further enriched my skills in customer service, communication, and activeness around the workplace. Working with a diverse team, Kmart taught me about teamwork and sharing the workload. This workload ranged from stocking shelves, stock take, tending to customer needs and cleaning and tidying.

• My first job as a cashier was the beginning grounds to my working career. For my brief time there, I learnt a variety of skills such as counting money, food prep and cleaning and sanitizing.
