I am a third-year Bachelor of Nursing student at the University of Newcastle, currently working in residential aged care and hospitality. With over five years of experience in fast-paced customer service roles, I bring strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills. My current healthcare role has strengthened my knowledge of personal care, observations, and infection control. I am eager to begin my nursing career in a setting that values teamwork, empathy, and ongoing professional development.
In this role, I assist residents with their daily living needs, including showering, toileting, grooming, and dressing. I monitor vital signs, complete charting, and support mealtimes by feeding and assisting residents. I ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and respected while promoting a positive, caring environment.
My responsibilities include operating gaming machines, preparing and serving food and drinks, and maintaining the bar and restaurant environment. I adhere to RSA and RCG standards and work closely with team members to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction.
I worked across all areas of service, including the bar, café, and dessert preparation. I was responsible for supervising junior staff, handling cash, managing inventory, and maintaining high service standards.
I managed customer orders, made pizzas, completed deliveries, and maintained a clean and safe workspace. I often handled end-of-day close procedures, and trained new staff members. This role required excellent communication, time management, and adaptability.
As a Bronze Medallion holder, I participated in beach patrols, performed rescues, and supported senior lifesavers. This experience taught me teamwork and emergency response skills.
