Dedicated and hardworking medical receptionist with a strong passion for learning and growing in fast-paced environments. Known for being quick to adapt, eager to take on new challenges, and always ready to lend a hand where needed. I thrive in busy settings where I can stay engaged and continue to develop my skills. I’m looking for an opportunity where I can expand my experience, contribute to a supportive team, and keep learning every day.
As a medical receptionist, I manage a variety of essential tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the practice. My duties include answering phone calls, opening and closing the surgery, scheduling and confirming patient appointments, and processing invoices. I handle payments through the EFTPOS machine, remind patients of upcoming appointments, and send referrals. I ensure that all medical documents are attached to patient files, and I maintain a tidy environment by checking that the doctors' rooms are clean, beds are changed, and printers are stocked. I also assist the nurse with activating and sterilizing instruments, keeping instrument logs, and supporting doctors during procedures when needed. Additionally, I greet and check in patients, deliver prescriptions to the pharmacy, handle mail and faxes, shred documents, and follow up on bulk billing consents. Furthermore, I call patients when their results are in and manage administrative tasks such as emailing and faxing documents.
During my time at Australia Post, I was responsible for sorting cages and parcels into the correct areas, ensuring everything was organized and ready for delivery. I thrived under pressure, managing a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines daily. A key part of my role was driving a van, where I maintained both the interior and exterior cleanliness as needed. I took pride in delivering parcels on time each day, ensuring they were handled efficiently and with care to meet customer expectations. My focus was always on delivering a reliable and timely service, while maintaining high standards of organization and vehicle upkeep.
As a support worker, my primary focus was empowering my client to maintain their independence, ensuring they didn't rely on me for everything. I consistently worked to create a positive and supportive environment, making sure my client was always happy and satisfied with the care provided. I accompanied my client on daily trips, prioritizing their needs and desires, and ensuring everything they wanted to accomplish during our time together was completed efficiently and effectively. My approach was always centered around promoting autonomy while providing the necessary support for them to thrive.
