Here we worked as a small team of nurses, doctors and paramedics in a marquee set up as a "small hospital" with a resus bay with the aim to take off pressure of the nearby hospitals and ambulance service.

Nursing duties here provide care for intoxicated and drug affected patrons, sedation and intubation for safe transfer to hospital. care of anything that presents through the doors and providing appropriate referrals or recommendations allowing safe return back into the festival.

• Assisted with resuscitation, CPR, and emergency airway procedures.
• Collaborated with physicians to quickly assess patients and deliver appropriate treatment while managing rapidly changing conditions
• Administered medications and treatment to patients and monitored responses while working with healthcare teams to adjust care plans.
• Confident in Resus skills such as cardioversions, pacing, procedural sedations, IV access, CVAD access, airway management.

• Evaluated patient histories, complaints, and current symptoms.
• Care for indigenous persons in a rural setting
• Attending ambulance call outs for acute patients
• Resus cares for any patients who presented to emergency
• Transferring patients safely to royal flying doctor service

I also took on the role of team leader managing a team and patient flow in the acute orthopaedic department in ED.

Frontline ambulance

Attending all ambulance call outs, from cardiac arrests, traumas, chest pain, mental health crisis, amputations, minor sicknesses and Illness and social call outs.

my role was to ensure I treated appropriately, coordinated and referred to the appropriate facility to optimise health outcomes for the patient.
