Core Responsibilities:

• Emergency Care:Delivered critical support in emergency settings, assisting in the management of acute conditions. Utilized advanced assessment tools and coordinated with healthcare professionals via ETS and on-call services. Remained calm during high-stress, critical situations, demonstrating sustained focus and problem-solving in real-time.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Utilised medical technology, effective communication skills and proactiveness to ensure patients receive the most thorough care available. Utilising resources such as ETS within the rural setting. Conducting assessments and tasks required from the MDT via ETS, in collaboration with the RAN.
• Aged Care: Provided holistic care for elderly patients with chronic health conditions, compromised cognitive status, and advanced needs. Performed time management and priority skills.
• Ward and Inpatient/Outpatient Care: Executed comprehensive patient assessments. Maintained meticulous documentation and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams for ongoing patient management and rehabilitation. Specialized independently in outpatient wound care clinic in collaboration with wound care specialist.
• Resuscitation and Emergency Preparedness: Conducted routine checks of resuscitation trolleys and ensured readiness for emergencies.

Core Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct regular varied assessments to monitor patients' physical and mental health, including vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition. Utilise nurse initiation and medical tools for different health conditions and changes in patient condition such as decline or emergency response.
• Care Coordination: Interpersonal compassionate skills used to communicate and collaborate with MDT, family and patient, to develop individualised plans and advocate for the patient and their needs or changes. Time management and critical thinking skills, to ensure tasks are completed promptly and as necessary. Allowing time to assist co-workers or other health professionals where or if needed.
• Documentation and Education: Use of accurate and appropriate documentation in line with the hospital policy. Ensuring all care provided appropriately and within legal and regulatory standards. Taking and valuing educations provided where available.

Specific Site:

Kings Park Day Surgery: December 2021 – July 2022

Core Responsibilities:

• Theatre: Assisting the anaesthetist and anaesthetic technician in completion of day procedure surgery. Ensuring airway is maintained, insertion of laryngeal mask/nasopharyngeal airway, where indicated under direction and supervision of anaesthetist. Provision of patient care, reassurance and comfort.
• Recovery: Completion of thorough admission and discharge. Providing education to patient and family. Assessing and caring for patients in recovery, escalating where necessary. Removal of LMA as indicated.
