Summary

I understand the importance of expanding children’s minds and shaping their futures. The full development of a child includes academic and social growth. I have had experience working as a primary school assistant as well as a pre school room leader. I have recently received my cert III qualification in Childcare and am studying primary education at University. As a room leader I had a number of tasks which involved planning, organising and achieving outcomes in certain time constraints, this included creating lesson plans that were educationally effective as well as interesting to keep the children engrossed, I also wrote a number of observations for each child which required me to apply my intentional teaching skills to develop the children’s motor skills. I’m enthusiastic, responsible and committed to becoming a successful, caring and thoughtful teacher. I view each child as an individual and therefore formed a relationship with each child so that I could understand their strengths as well as what they needed to improve on and applied that to the experiences I created in the classroom.
