Currently pursuing a Juris Doctor at Monash University, with two years remaining in the programme, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Politics (major) and philosophy (minor). Through this academic foundation I've gained the ability for strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills. I believe them to be essential for work in a legal practice.
Alongside my degree, I work as a Union Organiser with the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees' Association (SDA). In this role, I've specialised in mediation and dispute resolution for retail, factory, and fast-food workers, advocating for fair wages, improved conditions, and rights withing the workplace. My work involves negotiating directly with employers, supporting workers through grievances, and ensuring fair and principled outcomes.
Previously, I interned with a Federal Member of Parliament, where I gained experience in policy research, constituency engagement, and legislative processes. This role strengthened my interpersonal skills in working closely with constituents, and I believe these skills will translate effectively to building strong relationships with clients in legal practice.
Initially employed as a Union Representative, I later transitioned into the role of Union Organiser, specialising in mediation and dispute resolution.
