Oversee the day to day operations of this department within the medical laboratory including performance of both routine and complex diagnostic testing, client/management liaison, NATA accreditation, Staff initiation, ongoing training and performance review/management. Completed a clinical trial of emerging molecular technologies – SDA (strand displacement amplification) which led to the successful design & implementation of a Commercial PCR (polymerase chain reaction) unit in the laboratory.
