• Lead Automation Projects - Oversee the full lifecycle of automation projects, from design through to implementation, ensuring all projects adhere to technical specifications, budget constraints, and timelines.
• Lead Automation Strategy and Implementation - Develop and implement an overarching automation strategy that aligns with the business goals and objectives.
• Lead Supplier Management and Machinery Integration at the facility - Establish and maintain relationships with local and foreign suppliers for the acquisition of new and innovative machinery.

Key Highlights:

• Work as a Subject Matter Expert in Automation, offering guidance and training to broader teams within the organization.
• Serve as a National Competency Standard (NCS) assessor, certifying skills and competencies in “Industrial Sewing Machine Technician - NVQ Level”.
• Serve on the board responsible for developing the curriculum of “Industrial Sewing Machine Technician – National Vocational Qualification Level 4”.
• Serve as a member of the Industry Consultation Committee at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, strengthening collaboration between academia and industry to enhance engineering and automation education

• Conduct advanced problem-solving approaches to address automation integration challenges.
• Define project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Lead a team of 15 automation professionals, overseeing performance, workload, and goal alignment as Value Stream Manager.
• Manage the validation, implementation, and rollout of new technologies, ensuring they integrate smoothly into current systems and processes.

• Design Machine Development flowcharts and perform control system programming and debugging.
• Conduct Engineering Drawings for mechanical systems using CAD/ CAM Software (Solid Works).
• Maintain Automation Machines with Total Productive Maintenance Tools.

• Develop Production Layout with Standard Work Sheets and Operation work load balancing.
• Conduct Team Member Skill Development and Capability Study Sessions.
• Identify Conduct Real Problem Solving with Lean Manufacturing Approach.
• Responsible as Kaizen Champion Conduct Weekly Kaizen Forums.
