Work History

Industry Professional Program

St Joseph's College
04.2020 - Current
  • The Industry Professional Program at St Joseph’s College, established by Patrick O’Shea (Head of Drama), is a specialized initiative designed to support Drama students in Years 9-12 through tailored tutoring and mentorship. This program provides structured guidance both during school hours and in additional sessions outside of class, most notably on Monday evenings, where Year 12 students receive dedicated support for their Individual Projects and Group Devised Projects.
  • As a mentor within this program, I have worked closely with students to refine their performance, scriptwriting, and staging skills, providing constructive feedback and targeted coaching to help them develop their creative vision. My role has involved facilitating workshops, fostering collaboration within student groups, and ensuring students meet the rigorous standards of senior Drama assessments.
  • This program has delivered outstanding results, with students consistently achieving OnStage nominations, along side high academic and creative outcomes. Through my involvement, I have honed my ability to mentor and guide students effectively, tailoring my approach to suit diverse learning needs. This experience has further enhanced my skills in education, student engagement, creative direction, and performance coaching, making a meaningful impact on students' confidence, artistic expression, and overall academic success.

Musical Creative Assistant

St Joseph's College
12.2021 - Current
  • Every two years, St Joseph’s College stages a full-scale musical production at the Chatswood Concourse, providing students with a rich and immersive performing arts experience. Since graduating, I have remained actively involved in three productions. Strictly Ballroom, Pippin and the Australian debut of Twelfth Night in a professional capacity as a Creative Assistant.
  • In this role, I have worked closely with students both individually and in group settings, coaching them in the key performance areas of dance, singing, and acting. This has required strong communication and mentorship skills, the ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles, and a deep understanding of performance techniques to help students refine their craft.
  • Beyond performance coaching, I have also contributed to the logistical and technical aspects of the production, assisting with the bump-in and bump-out processes. This has involved coordinating stage setups, managing backstage transitions, and ensuring a smooth production flow during the show's run.
  • My experience in this role has strengthened my leadership, teamwork, and instructional abilities, all of which are highly transferable to an educational setting. By fostering student confidence, creativity, and collaboration, I have helped contribute to a dynamic and enriching arts program that supports both individual growth and ensemble success.

ICT Front Desk Repair

St Joseph's College
12.2022 - 01.2024
  • While working within the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) department at St Joseph's College, I provided frontline technical support at the Help Desk, assisting both staff and students with a wide range of ICT-related challenges. This role required strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
  • In addition to daily support tasks, I took on leadership responsibilities as a project coordinator for key ICT initiatives. I successfully managed the rollout of laptops for both students and staff, overseeing the deployment process, ensuring proper configuration and security measures, and providing training sessions to enhance digital literacy. Furthermore, I led the renovation of the Drama classroom’s Lighting and Audio space, collaborating with stakeholders to upgrade and modernize the technical infrastructure to enhance the learning and performance experience.
  • These experiences have strengthened my technical expertise, leadership, project management, and instructional skills; qualities that are highly valuable in an educational setting. My ability to communicate complex technical concepts in an accessible manner has been instrumental in supporting teachers and students, equipping them with the necessary digital tools to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
