I have learnt to set and persist to achieve goals in my schooling, my sport and my personal endeavours. Within my family we do yearly goal setting and review them as the year progresses. An example of my ability to see a goal come to fruition is when I researched, budgeted and then personally built my own desktop computer., I thrive in team environments and enjoy being able to work with others. I have been part of numerous sporting teams in both the community and at school from the age of nine., I have sound communication skills and am a natural encourager of others. In the classroom I'm always willing to put my hand up in class and speak in front of my peers. As a senior men's boundary umpire and through playing senior men's cricket, I have grown my confidence in my ability to communicate with a variety of people., I am capable of working by myself when at school and am always willing to seek feedback from mentors and coaches so I can improve my performance. My teachers and coaches can rely on me to help with setting up or packing up equipment without needing to be asked., I have a caring nature and want to see people get along with each other in a group scenario. Through reading the book Personality Plus I have gained a better understanding of the different personality types and am learning to apply this knowledge when working with different people in different settings., I am very good at changing to suit the needs of a group, play my role within a team or adjust to changes to schedules for school or sport. I am also able to adapt and keep pushing through even when a major injury occurs and still find ways to assist within the team.
