I am currently managing a team of 7 staff members and an assistant manager. My role is ensuring the correct operation of the business, focusing on achieving KPI’s, ensuring the store is maintaining its mandatory compliance with customer data and creating a positive culture within our team.

Responsibilities

  • Rostering to a monthly budget of $30,000.
  • Effectively managing the sales floor greeting and directing customers. My current store has foot traffic of 200 per day.
  • Actively listening to sales pitches by team members and providing one-on-one coaching sessions with the staff upon completion tracked at 6 per week.
  • Reporting to my area manager on the stores KPI’s weekly and providing all details of training and performance reviews completed with staff to show how we are achieving KPI’s.
  • Attending store manager meetings quarterly to present business plans on what KPI’s we are focusing on and how we are going to be profitable for the next quarter.

Achievements

  • Hosting large training sessions, my first at Chadstone Telstra Store with 100 attendants focusing on our business customers and sales. This lead me to host another night at our Frankston store with 60 attendants focusing on our customer feedback surveys and how to manage our after-sales service.
  • Achieving the number 1 store for Victoria Q2 last financial year this was at our Waverley Gardens store.
  • Managing Telstra store Chadstone, the largest Telstra store for Q3 last financial year.

Floor Manager

As a floor manager it was my responsibility to effectively manage the retail shop floor, I was the first point of contact for customers, and it was my role to discover what they had come into the shop for direct them to the right sales assistant to complete the sale.

Responsibilities

  • Observing customer interactions and providing feedback to the store manager and assisting with performance training.
  • Coaching and training new staff members to be able to achieve KPI’s which includes a customer feedback score of over 60, Small business and consumer core products and flex products.

Achievements

  • Moving into the floor manager position as this was proposed for my business-to-business sales.
  • Bringing in multiple large business sales for the store that included upwards of 50 devices for these businesses.
  • Achieving the highest gross profit sales in the retail store that were some months upwards of $35,000 in sales.
