Example 1: Evaluated the potential acquisition of a CSD (carbonated soft drinks) company by analyzing the industry growth and trends, opportunities and risks, including the impact of legislation and sugar tax policies, competitive positioning, financial health, profitability, and cash flows. This study enabled directors to make an informed decision.

Example 2: Evaluated the potential acquisition of an FMCG company in the convenience foods market by doing a detailed due diligence checklist, conducting market visits, and evaluating the company's standing versus its competition, identifying its investment gaps, and determining its future growth prospects.

Example 3: Built the entire value chain, costs, and profit prospects of a spirits bottling plant to evaluate profit potential. This was for the beverage sector of the group (Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC) to see whether it should venture into adjacent segments.

Directors approved my recommendation, and 21 rooms were successfully refurbished, improving revenues and the overall guest experience for the hotel.
