I started in catering at ODV, then moved on the try the housekeeping side of things. For the time being, I found my permanent position in minsite laundry while my desire is to find employment in administration.
During my seasonal employment for the last 3 years,(casual) for vintage season, I have been working as administrative officer at Berri Estates weighbridge. My duties were to check for accuracy of weight of grapes being delivered, sugar levels to be of suitable quality and sending wine grapes off to crusher to start the process of producing wine for the world wide market.
My husband and I have been operating a rather large working Hostel / accommodation business dealing with every day duties and tasks of running the business. FOH, BOH, Check-in and check-out, daily maintenance of 4 buildings and a 10800m2 garden area, cleaning duties as well as communicating with guests. We also ran a job agency and provided work for our guests as part of our business model. Dealing with employers and employees on a daily basis, taught us whats important to satisfy all parties. However, my main workload was the administration side of things.
