Summary

Qualified with a Certificate IV in Disability Services and a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), I am a diligent, physically fit and highly versatile Personal Carer who is seeking to progress further in the Care Sector. To this effect, I offer over 5+ years of related work experience as a Disability Support Worker and a further 6+ years in a variety of roles that include as a Process Worker, an interpreter and an educator. At present, I am working as a Disability Support Worker with Help Enterprises after working with Sagabol Disability Services in the same capacity. Through my training and work experience in the provision of Disability Care Services, I attained invaluable knowledge in working with children and adults who are living with a diverse range of disabilities. This enabled me to develop my ability to lead a team of support workers in administering care plans, helping clients maintain and develop their social and personal skills, assist clients with self-help and also to develop my own client-engagement skills. In the process, I also gained proficiencies in manual handling, client observation, behaviour management and safety administration (for client and self). I have an exceptional ability to handle pressure very well and am particularly very good at managing difficult/challenging situations (or people). I have excellent physiques and I work to maintain a top form in terms of my health and the general well-being of mind and body. I possess very good communication and interpersonal skills and consider myself a well-balanced individual, highly ethical, mild-mannered and even-tempered. An active team-contributor, I am a highly versatile and flexible team player who is prepared to work all shifts. Additionally, I have no criminal/drug arrests or convictions and would not object to undertake Police check and/or drug tests. Inspired and fuelled by my passion to continue to grow within the Care Sector in the provision of Disability Care Services, I believe my natural people-personality, presentable disposition and strong personal Christian values (patient, compassionate and caring) would see me a right-fit candidate for any Care Services organisation. Knowledgeable Disability support worker with solid background in providing compassionate care and support to individuals with disabilities. Successfully implemented personalized care plans and facilitated daily living activities to enhance clients' quality of life. Demonstrated excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively address clients' needs.
