I am interested in learning language and translation. I can communicate in Chinese (Mandarin), English and Japanese proficiently. I also learn other languages such as Korean, Italian and Latin.
I am second year psychology student and I am doing psychology program in University of Sydney now. I have chosen PSYC2012 this year and gain basic knowledge about statistics, quantitative and qualitative research. I also participant SONA research for the past 2 years. The reason I apply for this job is that I care about LGBTQ groups and would like to choose personality and social psychology as my future study domain. Therefore, this working experience is very helpful for me, and I am confident with my ability for this position.
I am native Mandarin speaker come from Beijing, China. I used to be one of Chinese Debating Team member in St.Catherines High School and I am currently working as one of University of Sydney Mandarin Debating Team member. Therefore, I can speak and write Chinese proficiently. I came to Sydney 5 years ago, so I can also speak and write in English proficiently.
Except for psychology, I also majored in advanced Japanese studies in University of Sydney. In 2022, I work with my professor and translate Japanese ancient scroll for Japan National Museum. I also created website for this project and link is provided. In 2023, I choose to study Japanese syntax and translation, and have skills to translate various texts including novel, commercial, newspaper and video.
In Year 11, my high school organized us to do community service helping minority group. Assisting disabled and discriminated groups gives me power and this experience strongly affect me to become psychology student. In university, I contact with LGBTQ groups and get to know more about their situations. Therefore, I find this research meaningful because I can learn more about this group and further help them.
