• Planning and designing power stations and power generation equipment (example; transformers, ACB’s, relays).
• Determining the type and arrangement of circuits, transformers, circuit-breakers, transmission lines and other equipment.

• Interpreting specifications, drawings, standards and regulations relating to electric power equipment and use.
• Organizing and managing resources used in the supply of electrical components, machines, appliances and equipment.
• Establishing delivery and installation schedules for machines, switchgear, cables and fittings.
• Supervising the operation and maintenance of power stations, transmission and distribution systems and industrial plants
• Designing and installing control and signalling equipment for road, rail and air traffic.
• Specialize in research in areas such as power generation and transmission systems, transformers, switchgear and electric motors, telemetry and control systems.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for making sure that the completed transformer core assembly is done per work instruction and engineering drawing. And also making sure the core is free from irregular sharp edges that could cut through coil form of the coil assembly.
• Monitored installation and operations to consistently meet rigorous customer requirements.
• Testing of HV and LV Dry Type transformers as per schedules.
• Generate test results reports.
• Calibration of test equipments.
• Responsible for the accuracy of time charging on job performed.
• Complies with company’s safety rules and regulations.
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and well organized.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Research, design and deliver solutions that meet objectives, deadlines and budget constraints.
• On-site management of sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices and procedures.
• Responsibility for the operation and management of both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, building monitoring systems etc.
• Identifying and executing opportunities to improve energy efficiency of amazon sites.
• Project management of a variety of operational aspects of amazon sites.
• Troubleshoot, conduct root cause analysis and create corrective action documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including critical equipment and event support.
• Interface with internal data centre design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
• Initiate and lead engineering site audits and produce reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediations.
• Device fabrication and developing firmware, software, or test scripts that support the development or testing of components or subsystems.
• Assist development engineers in connecting and configuring test devices and software systems for various programs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Adjust controls to generate specified electrical power, or to regulate the flow of power between generating stations and substations.
  
• Control and maintain auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, fans, compressors, condensers, feedwater heaters, filters, and chlorinators, to supply water, fuel, lubricants, air, and auxiliary power.
  
• Control generator output to match the phase, frequency, and voltage of electricity supplied to panels.
  
• Make adjustments or minor repairs, such as tightening leaking gland and pipe joints; report any needs for major repairs.
  
• Monitor and inspect power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems.
  
• Open and close valves and switches in sequence upon signals from other workers, in order to start or shut down auxiliary units.
  
• Operate or control power generating equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators, and reactors, using control boards or semi-automatic equipment.
  
• Place standby emergency electrical generators on line in emergencies and monitor the temperature, output, and lubrication of the system.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Drilling,cabling,building/assembly, crimping,sealing and wiring of electronic systems.
• Align and balance new equipment after installation
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, machinery, or equipment
• Complete testing of printed circuit boards, all final assemblies and other electrical, electronic and mechanical components and sub-assemblies by using the appropriate test equipment and procedures applicable to each assembly prior to quality control inspection and final shipping.
• Examine the work-in process and product at end of line in detail against pre-set specifications or sample comparison and recognize correct/incorrect work to ensure the product passes quality control requirements when the product is sent on for further inspection at Quality Assurance.
• Identify problems such as failure and set-up problems, errors or discrepancies, and help by recommending solutions to aid manager in problem-solving process.
• Maintain records, recommend procedural changes, and write procedures and written reports to log and track production for scheduling and quality control purposes.
