• Duties:

1. The vehicle is to stop at the designated vehicle access point.

2. Security is to ensure the vehicle is in the park position, and the handbrake is activated. This instruction is provided to the driver.

3. A systematic flow of vehicles enters the parking allotment to ensure vehicles don't enter the Qantas Loading Dock area if the front car parking compound is full.

4. Proactively marshal vehicles into the agreed parking allotment, and ensure drivers adhere to traffic flows.

5. Establish that the driver has a reasonable purpose for the vehicle to enter the freight facility.

6. Security is to conduct a visual inspection of the trunk and internal cabin to ensure there are no persons or weapons located within these areas. If a weapon is detected, refuse entry, and escalate to the Qantas Freight Manager and Duty Security Controller.

7. Conduct an ASIC inspection/VIC pass inspection supervised by an ASIC holder.

8. If the driver is seeking access to Melbourne Airport SRA, confirm that the driver has a valid Airside Driving Authority (ADA), and that the vehicle is approved to enter the SRA with the presence of an Authority to Use Airside (AUA).

9. If all the above conditions are met, access can be granted to the vehicle.

10. Continuously updated knowledge base regarding changes in international aviation regulations and guidelines ensures full compliance at all times.
