Research

  • Macquarie University, LDH Anion-Selective Membranes: Successfully synthesized an anion-conductive PDA-coated LDH membrane. The membrane was characterized using XRD, SEM, TEM and its performance was evaluated using a potentiostat by voltammetry techniques.
  • Macquarie University, GO-Tannic Acid membranes: Helped in synthesis, performance analysis and characterization of the membrane.
  • Macquarie University, MOF-on-MOF membrane: for the first time, synthesized a membrane with angstrom-scale asymmetric nanochannels capable of showing high lithium separation performance and ionic current rectification.
  • Macquarie University, Wireless sensor array: currently working on developing an array of sensors capable of detecting multiple ions at the same time.
  • Macquarie University, Asymmetric GO membrane: Involved in performance analysis of asymmetric GO-rGO membrane.
  • Macquarie University, Li-selective MOF-on-MOF thin film: Involved in designing experiments for performance evaluation of the membrane.
  • CSIRO, Chief Investigator in the project: Developing electrochemical MOF-based sensors to detect metal ions. The MOF was characterized by SEM, XRD, SEM-EDS mapping, and FT-IR. The sensor's output was data was processed and analyzed.
  • Sharif University of the Technology, Enhancement of surface adsorption-desorption invoking rates in microarrays surface charge heterogeneity. Developed a numerical approach and a C++ code to solve the mass distribution inside a microchannel with chemical surface reactions.
  • Sharif University of the Technology, Shape optimization of a helical microswimmer for biomedical applications. Developed a numerical method and a MATLAB code to solve the motion of helical microswimmer
