My teaching philosophy is shaped by my experiences working with both teachers and students. I believe that student's academic success is heavily reliant on their confidence, mental health and the support they receive. Therefore, building relationships with my students and involving them in their learning process and classroom environment is the foundation of my teaching approaches. My philosophy focuses on creating an inclusive learning environment that ensures I implement differentiated strategies that guide and support students. The aim is to encourage students to actively participate throughout their educational journey to develop their understanding in accordance with the curriculum standards. This is achieved through the focus on the gradual release model of responsibility ( GRR), which I believe provides students with the guidance to become independent learners through collaborative experiences. This model enables my classroom environment to flourish through collaboration, while also building their capabilities and understanding to complete tasks without assistance as the responsibility shifts between teacher to student. This allows me to create active learners who are confident in their abilities and take initiative in their learning through the guidance of the teacher. My philosophy continues to evolve through my experiences and shift with the requirements of my students. However, this model enables me to create a supportive learning environment in which all my students can flourish.
